Cancer of the pharynx, more commonly known as the throat, is also called pharyngeal cancer. It can develop in any of the three regions of the pharynx:
1. Nasopharynx is the top section
2. Oropharynx is the middle section
3. Hypopharynx is the lowest section
One of the first symptoms of pharyngeal cancer is a painless lump in the upper neck. Other symptoms include any of the following signs:
